The SIP Vespa T5 Speedo / rev counter is a multi-instrument from SIP PERFORMANCE for Vespa T5 models in the look of the original analogue instruments.

 

Since their introduction in 2010, the SIP rev counters with speedometer have fundamentally changed the market. Functions that were previously only feasible through the insertion of numerous additional devices have now been brought together in a single instrument, and in an unobtrusive way.

The design of the Vespa T5 speedometer, with its original look, is reminiscent of the very popular T5 instruments with analogue rev counter. In addition to revolutions per minute and speed, this Vespa T5 Speedo can also display temperature. It offers the possibility to switch between AF and EGT connection in the menu. Two small press buttons allow you to switch elegantly between the different digital displays. They are discreetly integrated into the speedometer glass. A little extra treat: Every time the engine is started, the rev counter performs a self-test and creates a touch of Grand Prix feeling. Speed, revs and fuel gauge are permanently displayed in analogue. In addition, the speedometer has two digital displays. Numerous additional functions can be displayed on them. Optionally also speed or revolutions per minute.

 

NOTE

Always use spark plugs and plugs with interference suppression.

 

INSTALLATION

Installing this speedometer is very easy. As with the original, the speed is determined by the speedometer cable, but you also have the option of using a speed sensor, which you can purchase as replacement parts. So if your speedometer cable is worn or broken, the display will still be reliable and functional. By the way, the speed is recorded via the light signal.

 

There is no risk of losing data. Thanks to an internal memory, all information remains safely backed up. The speedometers operate on 12V AC/DC, which means that no battery is required. SIP Performance/Vespatronic/Parmakit ignitions can be connected.

  • Temperature 0 to 250° or 32°-482° F. for cylinder head or water temperature, a temperature sensor for the spark plug is included in delivery
  • EGT temperature gauge with SIP exhaust gas temperature sensor from 100°-1200° C possible
  • AF display with SIP lambda sensor from A 10.0-24.0 possible
  • Maximum temperature
  • Total distance up to 99999 km/miles
  • Total distance adjustable (old speedometer reading thus transferable)
  • Single distance A and B up to 9999.9 km/miles
  • Driving time A and B up to 99.59 h
  • Average speed A and B up to 199 km/h or 140 mph
  • Low voltage warning DC
  • Brightness of speedometer illumination adjustable in 5 steps
  • Tank, indicator, high beam, low beam indicators

Scooter Vista is now the 1st choice venue to go to wether you ride a Vespa or Lambretta. Lee is more than helpful with any part, or advice you're after. Lee will also only sell quality parts and spares, and at brilliant prices, making it a great experience all round. I can't recommend Lee and his set-up highly enough. You will not be disappointed by coming down here to Sully and it's more than worth a visit

Colin and Lee have gone out of their way in every respect to help me with my series 1. I called in for a chat unexpectedly and asked a question re my kick start compression which turned out a lot worse than I thought.
