Richards LML Malossi 166 Engine Build

Local customer Richard brought us his LML Engine in for us to sort out. This one was a simple build for us with his request of fit this Malossi Kit to the engine that I have.

After a chat, we decided to get on with the job. Other than a good clean of the Engine Casings before we started work, we found no hidden issues with this LML Engine…lovely stuff!!!

We started work deciding to fit a Mazzucchelli Longer Stroke Crank with a Polini Box Exhaust. We cleaned up and matched the transfers making sure everything was spot on. We also removed the old style 3 Plate Clutch and fitted a 22 Tooth Cosa Clutch upon Richards request. Corteco Oil Seals were used along with a FAG 9 Ball Clutch Bearing and Nadella Flywheel Bearing for the Crank. We sent the Rear Hub off to the painters and ultrasonic cleaned what we could.

As with all Scooter Vista engine work (Lambretta & Vespa) we only use parts we trust and stock. Parts from us are cheap, this is a bonus for all workshop jobs as we try to keep costs down for the customer.

Along with a few other little bits and bobs. The great thing with this build was that everything inside the engine was in really good condition which obviously affects the final cost of the job.
